Name: Shouto Todoroki
Canon: My Hero Academia
Canon Point: Chapter 219
Age: 15! He'll turn 16 after a month of being in game.
Background
MHA Wiki Entry.
Personality
Todoroki Shouto: son of the number two hero, well-off family, powerful quirk, good looks, high grades. From the outside, his life looks perfect. He’s a little too blunt and direct and he’s pretty fiercely out of touch with normal social constructs — the “leader” type of personality who disregards the needs of others for his own mission — but that can usually be blamed on a pretty rich boy’s upbringing, right?
Well… yes and no. Since Todoroki’s basically a successful eugenics experiment “bred” by his father (both of their wording) to be stronger than him and dethrone his greatest rival, it’s understandable that his upbringing has left some mental and emotional scars on him. More fit to be a war machine than a teenager, he has an understandable amount of rage and bitterness inside that, despite his growth and change for the better and forming healthy relationships with his classmates, hasn’t dissipated completely.
His emotional intelligence as well as introspection is, uh, lacking to say the least. He can’t even come up with decent names for his quirk or pro hero alias because his identity has been so shaped around what someone else wants of him that he’s only just begun to unravel his own inner workings, fiercely out of touch with his own emotions at times. Years spent in near-isolation, forcibly segregated from his siblings and choosing to willfully from his classmates, are what lend to his initially cold impression — and honestly sometimes he’s just a bit of an asshole.
Stubborn to a fault, he resisted the path his father wanted of him to the point where he refused to use the half of his quirk given by him for a long time: his fire. The cliche metaphor is incredibly literal with him, because he is that literal, both in theme and humor. Sometimes it’s better to laugh at him than with him because he lacks, well, a little bit of common sense sometimes.
His past does give him a little bit of a heads-up, though. He’s witnessed what ambition taken to a dark place can turn people into and although he’s incredibly goal-oriented and highly competitive himself, he never wants to turn into his father. Because of his experiences, he understands that what is moral and what is legal are not always the same thing; he’ll break the rules (and law) over and over so long as it means doing what’s “right”: saving people regardless of consequence. Just like Bakugou and Midoriya, his admiration of and influence by All Might, the greatest hero of all time, has shaped him into a person who wants to do good simply because it is good.
He craves the change and catharsis it takes to go from being a victim to being a hero, and he’s working towards that every day. It’s how Midoriya reached out to him, it’s how he slowly grew into a person listens and empathizes with others instead of just acting in his own best interest — even if that’s sometimes his “default” instinctual reaction, and even if he sometimes makes the same mistakes over and over before the lesson finally sinks in. He wants to grow and do better. He wants to surpass his father, not out of some tyrannical need to outshine him, but because the world deserves a better hero than Endeavor and he deserves a better life for himself.
Which isn’t to say his relationship with his father is one of nothing but contempt. When Endeavor’s life is threatened, Todoroki expresses concern for him and even visits after he’s released from the hospital, showing that his emotions are nuanced and deep, sometimes even contrasting. He said himself that he understands how one can be inspired to change for the better, referring of course to his fight with Midoriya — and now that he and his mother are on the mend as well, his future looks hopeful. He’s not about to let his father in easily, going so far as to completely ignore contact with him still, but there’s hope for them yet.
All in all, few people could go through what Todoroki did without turning into a bad person, and although he didn’t come away without scars, he’s a good person with strong morals and the will to do what’s right.

Job Placement
- Warrior with battle experience as well as "powers", so he makes for a very good bodyguard or debt collector.
- Experience dealing with crime, villains, and the police; crisis response.
- Baseline medical understanding, particularly in the context of emergency.
- Traditional upbringing that would give him a head start for deeper learning in things like wearing ornate clothing, tea ceremonies, dances, escort etiquette, etc.
I realize it won't happen immediately but he would be most interested in getting free from his faction debt and go for a more 'neutral' position where he can prevent injuries and casualties on all sides, with or without the help of the police. In no way does that need to be a linear path, so feel free to give him a job dealing with any of the above. He's a bit of a go-getter so he might also look for more than one.
Sex Work
It isn't his IC preference but OOCly I'm perfectly fine with it in any context!
Faction Placement
1. Higashi
2. Minami
3. Kita
4. Nishi
Does your character have any connection to a 'real life' supernatural entity or mythological figure?
